A QUICK CHECK BEFORE YOU GO

Is your phone ready for an eSIM?

Two things matter: your device must support eSIM, and it must be unlocked for other carriers.

Look for your EID

Dial *#06# or check your device information settings. An EID is a useful indication that the device supports eSIM. Confirm support for your exact model and purchase region with its manufacturer.

Check carrier lock

On iPhone, open Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock. “No SIM restrictions” means it is unlocked. On Android, contact your carrier or check its unlocking guidance. A paid-off phone is not automatically unlocked.

Check your settings

Look for “Add eSIM” under Cellular, Mobile Service, SIM Manager, or Network & Internet. Update your operating system, and make sure you have Wi-Fi available for installation.
